One thing is for sure, Pope Francis enjoys variety when choosing his 'Popemobile'. In fact, a modified Jeep Wrangler will be the Pope's method of transportation when he arrives in the U.S. for the first time next month.

As he makes his way through the streets of New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C, Pope Francis will be riding in style as he rides around in a vehicle provided by one of America's most awarded automakers - Jeep.

The Jeep Wrangler has been a popular vehicle in the U.S. for several years. 2015 has been a great year for the automaker as well. The 2015 Jeep Wrangler has been a consistent seller this past year, selling 121,770 Wranglers through July 2015 according to GoodCarBadCar.net.

Pope Francis is no stranger to the American-made Wrangler SUV. According to Digital Trends, during a visit to Ecuador last month, Pope Francis rode in the back of a white painted Jeep Wrangler, similar to what he will be riding in during his stay from September 22-27.

The current Pope reportedly prefers riding in cars with as much open space as possible, making the Jeep Wrangler a perfect fit.
