Are you searching for an SUV that is rugged, has plenty of space, and an impressive interior? The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is all three of those in one – just ask anyone who drives one. In fact, The Car Connection has praised the updated Grand Cherokee for those exact reasons – making it their Best SUV to Buy for 2022.

The look and feel of the Grand Cherokee's interior benefit from higher-quality materials and more modern design. Even the entry-level Laredo looks more upscale than you'd expect, while the top trim Summit Reserve looks the part of a luxury off-road SUV”

Building on its legacy as most awarded SUV ever, the 2022 Grand Cherokee brings brand new architecture, new plug-in powertrain, all-new exterior design, and state-of-the-art interior craftsmanship. As far as ratings go, the 2022 Grand Cherokee earned a 7.2 our of 10 by The Car Connection thanks to more space, safety features, and more luxury.

The inside of the 5th-generation Grand Cherokee has many similarities to the three-row Grand Cherokee L. An 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. A passenger touchscreen is optional.

According to Car and Driver, the 2022 Grand Cherokee starts thousands of levels higher than rivals such as the Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Paliside – the higher trims are priced similarly to some luxury SUVs. That being said, the Limited model certainly represents the best mix of features. It comes standard with leather upholstery, a power-operated liftgate, heated front and rear seats, interior ambient lighting, remote start, and more.

Most Grand Cherokees are powered by a 293-hp 3.6-liter V-6, but a more powerful 357-hp 5.7-liter V-8 is optional. The V-6 provides plenty of punch for highway passing and towing (rated for up to 6,200 lb) while the V-8 provides a deep, heavy roar while being able to tow up to 7,200. Jeep also offers its plug-in-hybrid 4xe powertrain that introduces electrification to its family SUV. Fuel economy estimated for the V-6 powered Grand Cherokee are typical of the midsize SUV segment at 19 mpg city and highway when paired with rear-wheel drive – the V-8 powered version is rated at 14 mpg city and 22 mpg highway.

Pricing for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $37,785
